Time Changes

On the 816 Electronic System:

  1. First, open system administration programming (Do not pick up the handset or press speaker)

  2. At any display phone dial the following:
    • # 0 6
(On the dial pad, the # button is to the right of the zero button and below the nine button.)
(The display should show: MMC Disabled) then dial
    • 1 2 3 4 1 #
(The display will return to the date and time. If the display said you input an incorrect password, you must obtain the correct password from your installer before you can program.)
    • To set time: Dial # 55
    • The display shows:
      • YY (for year) MM (for month 01 to 12)
      • DD (for date 01 to 31)
      • W (for day of the week, 0 = Sunday, 1 = Monday, etc.)
      • HH (for hour 01 to 24 in 24 hour time format) and
      • MM (for minutes 00 to 59)
    • After dialing minutes, dial # and the time will change on the display

You always set the hour and minutes using a 24 hour clock, but the display will read out in AM and PM time if your installer has set it that way.

  3. If your display reads out in 24 hour clock format and you want it to read out in AM and PM, dial the following:
    • # 2 0 1 2 3 4 4 #

  4. If your display reads out in AM and PM and you want it to read out in 24 hour format, dial the following:
    • # 2 0 1 2 3 4 5 #

If you are unable to change the time display using the procedure above, call your installer to obtain the correct dialing string for the password in your phone system
